We are happy to announce that Professor Li Xing has accepted to become a TFF Associate upon our invitation to him in February 2026.

Li Xing, born 1962, is a Danish national. Since the summer of 2024, has been appointed as Yunshan Leading Scholar, Distinguished Professor, Director of the European Research Centre at the Guangdong Institute for International Strategies, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies.

Prior to this, Professor Li Xing held the position of Chair Professor of International Relations in the Department of Politics and Society, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Aalborg University, Denmark.

During his tenure at Danish universities, Professor Li Xing also held numerous academic and administrative positions, including Director of the Centre for Development and International Relations, member of the Academic Committee of the Faculty of Social Sciences, and Chair of the Teaching Committee for International Relations. Although he left Aalborg University, he continues to retain his affiliation with Aalborg University as an adjunct professor.

He was once appointed as a “High-Level Overseas Cultural and Educational Expert” by the State Administration of Foreign Affairs Experts of the People’s Republic of China. He founded the Journal of China and International Relations in Denmark and has been serving as its Editor-in-Chief. More about Professor Li Xing on Wikipedia.

Professor Li Xing’s research and teaching focus primarily on international relations, international political economy, development theory, political sociology, and China’s rise in relation to the evolving world order. His academic contributions are extensive, with numerous articles published in both Chinese and English in leading domestic and international academic journals and newspapers.

Over the past decade, Professor Li Xing has edited and published more than a dozen scholarly books on the theme of “China’s Rise and Its Impact on the World Order,” released by leading international publishing houses. This book series adopts perspectives from international relations and international political economy, integrating multiple analytical dimensions to examine China’s rise and its profound and far-reaching impact on the contemporary global system:
