”Den iranske efterretningstjeneste har haft planlagt et attentat i Danmark. Det oplyser PET.”

Den sms-besked tikkede ind fra DR Nyheder i går d. 30 oktober kl. 13:09. PET havde indkaldt til en halv times pressemøde og deres foruroligende meddelelse fik naturligvis alarmklokkerne til ringe hos enhver dansker og ikke mindst de folkevalgte, som i løbet af få timer trykkede på de traditionelle panikknapper.

Søren Espersen ville have den danske ambassadør i Iran hjem til Danmark, omgående! Skal ske, meddelte udenrigsminister Anders Samuelsen på et pressemøde kl. 18:30.

Statsminister Lars Løkke Rasmussen skrev på Twitter få timer efter PET’s pressemøde på, at han vil sørge for at yderligere handlinger mod Iran vil blive diskuteret i EU med henvisning til yderligere sanktioner.

PET meddeler altså, at Irans efterretningstjeneste har planlagt et attentat i Danmark. En person er derfor anholdt i forbindelse med, at en person fra den iranske gruppe ASMLA i Danmark har været udsat for konkrete trusler. Dertil var det yderst begrænset, hvad PET fremlagde af beviser og dokumentation om sagen på pressemødet.

Da det efterhånden er kutyme for PET at indkalde til pressemøde og fremføre sin udlægning af sagen for derefter at sige ”ingen kommentar” til de efterfølgende spørgsmål, kan de fremmødte journalister i den situation desværre stort set kun viderebringe en ukritisk udlægning fra PET til de danske borgere.

Spørgsmål PET skulle svare på

Jeg har fulgt pressemødet på dr.dk: ”Pressemøde: ord for ord”, og der er specielt ét punkt, jeg mener, at man bør forholde sig kritisk til. Det drejer sig om følgende formulering fra pressemødet, som er videreformidlet live på dr.dk:

Kort inden politiet lukkede Danmark ned, fik PET efterretninger om, at en person havde overvåget en ejendom tilhørende lederen af gruppen ASMLA i Danmark. – Vi antog, at informationerne skulle danne baggrund for et attentat på dansk jord, siger Finn Borch Andersen, der fortæller, at den pågældende person nu er anholdt og sidder fængslet i isolation.

Denne formulering fra chefen for PET fremtvinger flest spørgsmål hos mig.

PET ”antog”, at den overvågning som denne person angiveligt foretog skulle føre til et attentat på dansk jord. Det afføder spørgsmålene:   Hvordan fandt PET ud af dette? Hvordan ved PET hvad manden ville bruge de ”informationer” til? Hvordan fandt PET ud af, at denne person var en del af eller samarbejder med Irans efterretningstjeneste? Hvordan ved PET, at den iranske efterretningstjeneste ville bruge de informationer til at udføre et attentat i Danmark?

Spørgsmålene skulle gerne illustrere, at der er rigtigt mange led i den her anklage mod Iran, som PET har valgt ikke at fremlægge over for hverken dem eller sin egen befolkning.

Det, man har fremlagt, er, at en person har overvåget en anden person, men betyder det, at han arbejder for den iranske efterretningstjeneste, og at de vil slå den overvågede ihjel? Det er meget alvorlige beskyldninger mod et andet land, og man har ikke fremlagt andet end en løs påstand uden skyggen af bevis.

PET gør opmærksom på, at manden nægter sig skyldig, så derfor må PET også være meget sikker i sin sag.

Det vurderer tidligere operativ chef i PET Hans Jørgen Bonnichsen til dr.dk: ”Det er uhyre sjældent, at man oplever en efterretningstjeneste direkte rette sin påstand mod en fremmed efterretningstjeneste. Det kræver en vis styrke og mod at sige det så præcist. For det kan jo medføre nogle internationale konflikter, der kan få betydning for Danmarks forhold til Iran.”

Den tidligere chef for PET legitimerer i et vis omfang PET’s udetaljerede oplysninger, men han rammer også hovedet på sømmet i forhold til, hvorfor det er så vigtigt, at offentligheden kræver bedre svar – eller faktisk bare svar – fra PET i den her sag.

Det har ikke kun betydning for Danmarks og Irans forhold og kan derfor skabe en unødvendig og hasarderet konflikt, som er større end de to lande i mellem.

Det store, store billede

Ikke overraskende er der fuld opbakning fra USA til Danmarks løse beskyldninger og fordømmelse af Iran. USA har siden præsident Donald Trump og udenrigsminister Mike Pompeos indtog været arrige på Iran.

Det har medført, at USA har forladt atomaftalen på baggrund af et to-sider langt notat med beskyldninger om, at Iran ikke har overholdt deres del af aftalen og finansierer terror mere noget andet land.

Samtidig er USA fortsat vældig engageret i Mellemøsten, hvor de deltager i proxy-krige, som egentlig handler mere om Iran end meget andet, som USA’s allierede Israel og Saudi Arabien føler sig truet af.

Krigen i Yemen bliver direkte ført af Saudi Arabien, men efter mordet på den saudiarabiske journalist, Jamal Khashoggi fra Washington Post, er det heldigvis gået op for mange flere mennesker i Vesten, at de støtter Saudi Arabiens bombninger indirekte ved salg af våben.

Yemens hovedstad Sanaa og provinser i den nordlige og vestlige del af landet er kontrolleret af Houthi-oprørerne, som bliver støttet af Iran. Imens støtter Saudi Arabien den internationalt anerkendte regering ledt af præsident Abdrabbuh Mansour Hadi.

Saudi Arabien fører med andre ord indirekte krig mod Iran i Yemen. Iran er altså i forvejen et land med mange magtfulde fjender. Så imens Vesten stirrede med vrede øjne på sine allierede i Saudi Arabien, og blev klar over, at Saudi Arabien matcher de værste diktaturstater i krænkelse af menneskerettigheder, så bliver de måske reddet af Iran.

For selvom de europæiske lande er forblevet i atomaftalen med Iran, og Anders Samuelsen har sagt, at Danmark stadig vil holde fast, så har USA’s allierede fået muligheden for at lægge Iran for had i forbindelse med denne sag. Som man også kan læse af andre skribenter på The Transnational hér, har der tidligere været tegn på, at USA ikke har tænkt sig at nøjes med at presse Iran økonomisk.

Det bliver illustreret af Mike Pompeo, som i dag har valgt ligefrem at lykønske Danmark: ”Vi lykønsker den danske regering med at anholde en snigmorder fra det iranske regime. I knap 40 år har Europa været målet for terrorangreb, hvor Iran står bag. Vi opfordrer vores allierede og partnere til at konfrontere alle Irans trusler mod fred og sikkerhed.”

Denne udtalelse viser, at denne sag nærmest falder lige ned i turbanen på USA’s udenrigspolitik. Den ligefrem bekræfter Pompeo’s påstand om, at Iran har stået bag en lang række terrorangreb i Europa.

Spis brød til

På en eller anden måde er det selvfølgelig godt, at vi i Danmark har så meget tillid til vores efterretningstjeneste, at vi ukritisk labber deres antagelser om trusler og beskyldninger mod andre stater i os.

Som altid bør man dog forsøge at vende en sag om og forestille sig, at det var Irans efterretningstjeneste, der meldte noget lignende ud om Danmark. Det vil sige, at en gruppe danskere i Iran sympatiserede med en terrorhandling begået i Danmark.

Den iranske efterretningstjeneste går en måned efter ud og meddeler, at de har anholdt en dansk mand, som de anklager for ville videregive informationer til den danske stats, som havde til hensigt, at slå tre personer fra denne terrorgruppe ihjel.

I det tilfælde vil jeg påstå, at de fleste medier, politikere og borgere lige vil spise brød til og bruge deres kritiske sans og stille de nødvendige spørgsmål, jeg fremlagde ovenfor, som vil illustrere manglen på beviser og dokumentation ud fra det, der er lagt frem.

Det er min opfattelse, at sager med voldsomme beskyldninger om mord og attentater i andre lande kræver mere åbenhed og gennemsigtighed.

Efterretningstjenester i Vesten kan vælge at begrunde over for deres befolkning at de pga. hensynet til international sikkerhed kan de ikke kan fortælle noget som helst om deres arbejde og baggrunden for deres anklager er en ting.

Men hvis målet er dialog og fred i verden, har det ingen gavnlig funktion at slynge så alvorlige påstande ud helt uden fakta og sandsynlighedsberegning.

Det er bemærkelsesværdigt at der siden 9/11 er kommet en stigende tendens til at anklage, dømme og handle indenfor under et halvt døgn når det gælder rigets sikkerhed.

Her har danske medier en opgave i at spole båndet tilbage, undre sig og være kritiske.

For vi mangler mange brikker i det her puslespil, og lige nu har man antaget fra PET’s side, at beviser og dokumentation er overflødigt.

Er det mon fordi at denne sag ikke skal være til offentlig debat?

Beklager, men det skal den nu engang.

I Danmark har vi demokrati.

Det ligner på en måde meget Skripal sagen… ie nul beviser, kun alvorlige anklager… mons tro DK’s PET har fået besked om at ”lave en sag” der passer ind is USA’s kram… Hvor om alting er eller især ikke er… at DK vil tækkes USA er jo kendt… det ser vi også i Nordstrøm 2, hvor lille Danmark har tænkt sig at sige nej eller allerede har sagt nej til at den går igennem Dansk farvand… vel vidende at det ikke stopper den Russiske gas ledning … som bare bliver lagt lige udenfor… så det har kun eet formål at genere eller irritere Russerne og tækkes USA… jeg stiller tit mig selv spørgsmålet ”hvorfor gør DK sådan noget” er det fordi politikkerne er totalt hjernevaskede eller er de bange for økonomiske konsekvenser, hvis ikke de igen og igen viser de følger USA’s linje (eller instrukser) ?
